On 25 and 26 March 2025, the DataTools4Heart consortium met at Vall d’Hebron Hospital in Barcelona, Spain. The two-day consortium meeting brought together all partners to review and update progress on all aspects of the project.
After the welcome and kick-off meeting, numerous sessions were held on the first day to describe the status of the clinical studies and propose possible new studies, as well as to list the integration and architecture of all project components along with their specific demos. The second day was reserved for the overview of the results of the structured synthetic data generation in the clinical centres and the summary of the latest related regulatory progress, which included the explanation of the platform access policy and the shared controllership agreement in the framework of the Ethical, Legal and Social Implications Research Program (ELSI).
Both days were concluded with fruitful roundtable discussions where all partners were able to share insights and set new milestones for the further progress of the project.
The consortium meeting, which brought together the various stages of development, was an important step towards improving the use of cardiological data and driving innovation in cardiovascular research.
